0:02 Hey, they write big welcome. Welcome, welcome, do everyone to this episode, the swarm unplugged podcast. You know, I often say sometimes you're in the swarm zone. But today you really are in the swarm zone. Because you didn't know for a fact that there is a capital, a BS, social. And it's somewhere in California, in the hidden areas of California. And if anybody knows and has been part of the social community, we know, the Wall Street a BS social is Crescent City, California. And today, I have a very special guest that knows all about what happens in Crescent City, including where the lighthouse is, and what times of the day you can get to the White House and not have to have to avoid the tides that come and go. But for our guests, I want to say our very special guest for this episode of The Swarm unplugged podcast is Ian Herbert. And and I want to welcome you to the podcast today. 1:06 Well, thanks for Christopher for having me on. It's very awesome to be here. 1:10 You. You didn't even flinch from us, if it was the curb of the social. 1:16 It's kind of it's kind of turning out to be that way. 1:20 Yeah. You know, I know that. I know your husband, you both are heavily involved, and have been for a while. How in the world? Did you ever get hooked up with this? Because everybody thinks it's a, you know, everybody's skeptical to start with? How did how did you? How did you get really hooked, as they say into this thing? 1:42 Well, tell you what, we were skeptical. If you're not skeptical of things than that, that that itself was an issue. Everybody should be skeptical, right. But we've got involved in this. And we just started hopping on and just learning. And the more that we learned, the more that we realized that we were absolutely in a fantastic opportunity for a community and in so many other avenues. And we once we jumped on board, we have not looked back, and we're very happy to be in this space with this group of people. It's been amazing. 2:17 What I know that there's a lot of people in Crescent City involved. So how did you hear about it? 2:26 Well, one of our good friends who's kind of, I don't know, he's, he's a, I would call them a pillar in our community, in respects to what he gives to our community. He, he approached us about this. And in the prior to that I had been trying to get my husband involved in this digital space. And, and it's hard to jump that ship, you know, and so we we talked with our friend Richard, and we just started learning, we started attending the calls. And you know, the more we learn, the more we just want to be involved. And now we're just, you know, I wouldn't call it obsessed, but it's almost obsessed with being a part of this community, because it's been so fantastic for us. 3:18 But it did. What was the first night that you want to call? Like, would that be like, 3:24 Greek? Felt like Greek? Yeah, I'm like, Okay, what is this? You know, it took us a while, you know, and we just kept getting on the calls, we kept getting on the calls, and we just started learning. And it was it was difficult at first for sure. Well, when did you 3:43 when did you feel like you started understanding it? 3:46 Well, you know, we, like I said, we kept getting on the calls and I would hear this new lingo and I'd have to go look that up and I you know, hear this and I got I'm like what is this we got to figure out what this is. And it probably took us just you know, about a couple weeks to really fully grasp what we were doing here. And so it's a learning curve. And we're always learning 4:13 Well, since you know your husband and you both are involved, or do you ever have any disagreement so you know what you should get involved in or anything like that, or are you doing the modern way and I've got my account you got your account you do what you want do that how do you guys handle it? Well, 4:29 actually, we we aren't don't do it the quote unquote modern way we're in this together with our same accounts. But you know, we talk about things and we discuss different options together. And in fact, you know, to be honest, this that's one of the few things that we do agree on is where we're gonna put our money 4:52 comes out here we go. Yeah, yeah. 4:55 So, ya know, it's, it's, it's actually been a really really great thing for us. And it's really, you know, it really makes our future look bright. You know, he's he's a very financial responsible person. And and, and we just trust each other and we just go with it. 5:16 Yeah. Dad at this point that you've ever made any decisions that you consider a, an absolute mistake, because there's a lot of safeguards in the group aren't there? 5:27 There absolutely is we always feel safe. And if we have trouble figuring something out, literally, we can hop on and somebody is right there to basically hold our hand. And that's one of the very best parts about this whole thing. 5:42 Did lots of people around right, lots of people with knowledge? Or they don't know they're gonna tell you? Right? 5:49 They're gonna find out. And, you know, we're now we're there to now that we're learning. I mean, we are more than happy to help people along the way as 5:58 well. So well, you did you did something that was quite unique here recently. And that was to actually have a crypto party, I call it I don't know what else to call it. And it's kind of like, okay, let's have some friends over and tell them a little bit about crypto and find out what they think. Of course, you're, you're in the Crescent City zone. So therefore, you've got, you've got a lot of backing around you. But tell me a little bit about what the people said as you were talking to them. Now, that was just a few days ago, I understand. It was 6:29 it was we invited some people over who had heard about it, who had kind of heard what we were doing, and we put up our big, put it up on our big TV. And we just went through the whole process. And and it was pretty amazing. Those people are very interested and pretty mind blown about what the possibilities are here. And it was very exciting. And we've been helping get them on boarded, and get them going. And it's just it's so exciting. 7:03 What kind of questions did you get? I don't know how long you were together. But I'm assuming it was an hour or so. What were the primary questions you got? Well, I'm 7:19 not really had any more that many questions, because people were just kind of so mind blown, you know about, about what we're doing here that they were just like, whoa. So, you know, we just might and plus my husband, he's he's really good at getting up and really explaining things pretty thoroughly in you know, layman's terms. So, but really, the biggest part was just technical questions. You know, that's where people kind of gets hung up in, in coming from the regular world into the digital world is the technical questions how this works? 7:57 And such as, how do i Where does my money go? That's when I don't? Yeah, whatever. 8:05 Exactly. I mean, for a lot of people, it can feel like it's just cartoon money or something, you know, and it's very much not the case. And, you know, it's kind of, it helps a little bit when people understand the technology behind it. And so we try to dabble a little bit on that in laymen terms, you know, and kind of draw pictures a little bit to help people understand. But then once you figure that all out, it's just, you know, people's minds start opening up and they're like, Wow, this is such a great opportunity. The things that can be done in this space is, are astounding. 8:50 What about your immediate family? Are they surprised you're doing what you're doing? 8:56 You know, we haven't actually. Well, we probably annoy them with it, to be honest. We've gotten some family members involved in it. And we are hoping to get more family members involved in it. But it's like I said, it's it's hard for people sometimes to cross that bridge there. And, you know, we're just going to keep on going and keep helping people get be successful in this because why wouldn't you? 9:29 Well, you know, when we talk about aperte, people ask me this to talk about having bringing other people in, they always related to, you know, some sort of multi level something, whatever, you know, you know, we want to bring more people in more people in well, of course we are, and it's for a specific purpose. I told one of the folks that I approached, I asked me why. And I said, Well, if I don't tell you about it, then a year from now, I'm going to ask myself, why didn't I tell you about it. Right when I'm benefiting, and you're not so, but a lot of people think it's more like a multi level marketing cuts thing did you have you get had gotten that response from anyone yet? 10:13 You know, not in my personal circles, but I have had, you know, kind of strangers reached out to me through social pages that have seen that we're involved in this and somebody else has had them get, you know, get involved or, or, you know, get into buying coin or whatever. And, you know, I think that that's, a lot of people do believe that something like that only because they don't really understand how that works. You know, and I think that the more that we educate people on, on how this works, and what it's going to do, I think the less people are going to, you know, have that thought that it's a multi level marketing thing. And so that's going to be exciting when we can kind of battle that out of people's minds, if you will. Because it's, it's not that and it's, and it's, um, it's such a unique thing, I guess, I don't really know how to explain it in in short terms, but it's such a unique system. 11:18 If you were to explain it, why what in your opinion, is the reason that we want to bring people on into the big social community? What, what's the primary reason there? 11:33 Well, because this digital world is coming, and whether we want it to or not, and I believe that we can do so much in this space. And we have been very happy with where we have gone and where we've come from, where we've come from, to where we are now. And I would want every single person that I know and love to be a part of this. Because it is absolutely, in my own opinion, bigger than what we may even be able to fathom. And the possibilities of this. And why would you not want to share success? Why would you not want to share ways to help people? Why would you, you know, that's I have a very giving and helpful heart. And I want every single person that I know, to be able to do what we have done in this space? Because it's possible, there's so much room for so many more people. 12:44 Oh, don't worry 1000s More as Oh, yes. You know, you, you certainly came in before I but even in the the several several months that I've been a part of the program, the growth has been there. In fact, it's doubled in size since I came on board. And and we're about to see it double again, probably in the very, very, very near future. And with all of that going on that there, those people are also going to need other guidance. Do you think we have the capacity as a group to help other people as they come on board? 13:23 I absolutely do. The people here at this point. I think that when you know, depending on how that looks is as far as volume with people coming on. But the amount of people that are dedicated to helping get people going in this. i There's I have no doubt in my mind, I think that we can basically do anything we want to do. Because for one I'm an optimist, but for two, I mean, it's just so exciting. It's so exciting to help people get set up and help people start getting that life kind of turned around a little bit, you know, and I just I don't know, I'm just absolutely elated about it. Like I said, I'm almost obsessed about it. 14:14 Well, I know I know you're you don't follow cults, but so we're not a cult either. By the way. We got too many independent thinkers in this group for it. 14:25 Oh my gosh. Exactly. And that's the other thing is I love, everybody has so many different talents. It is just such a diverse, wonderful group of people to be involved with. We feel so very blessed. 14:41 The talent is are all over the place. And the backgrounds, you know, commercial fishing to their builders to insurance agencies to I mean, you can't name a profession that that somebody's not in in the group. I don't think you could anyway, it's Exactly I agree. Now that diversity is extremely important to keep any community healthy. Because we don't always have to agree. In fact, we get into little skirmishes everyone's dwell even in their nightly goals. And that's fine. You know, that's, that's, that's what it's about. So you would fully recommend anybody come on board. But before we close, and this episode of The Swarm unplugged podcast, what would you like to say to the audience, that people who will be listening about your feelings? Yes, just something from the heart. I like to say, what would you like to say? 15:41 I, you know, I would just tell people to just be open minded and understand that there's something way bigger here. And it's, it's not it's not scary. I mean, it can seem scary. It's a lot to learn. There's, there's a lot going on. But there's people here to help you. And don't let fear hold you back from this. Because I, I believe that you're going to miss out on a lot. If you are fearful to jump into this boat, you know, it's just just go for it. Just go for it and learn, learn, learn, and we will be there to help you to help you and hold your hand through 16:26 it. And others listen, because you have a safety net. 16:31 Hmm. Absolutely. 16:35 And thank you so much for being a part of this episode. I truly appreciate your taking the time and, and telling us what you feel and what your experience has been. Yeah, it's 16:51 been my pleasure, Ben, my pleasure, folks, you know, it really turns to it makes me smile. Because what you're hearing there is, is from the heart and from experience. Now don't forget that Dan has been around a while she's she has probably looked for some pitfalls. If I know her. Just a little bit, a little bit of knowledge here. As we've talked, she's probably has looked for those little holes, but she hasn't really found one big enough to worry about yet at this point. So you will find it yourself. And I know that those that haven't met and yet in the group, please do. Please say hi to her get to know her. Because we also want to get to know each other in the community as well as we can and on a personal level. And the larger we grow, the harder it's going to be so take advantage of it now. So thanks very much for being a part of this episode. The the swarm unplugged podcast, I'm Christopher Knight. Always remember to listen, learn and give
